Ilze Šarkovska-Liepiņa’s monograph is devoted to the heritage of the Renaissance in Latvia. The study looks at the forms of the Northern Renaissance in music, the creation of songs encouraged by the Reformation and the contribution of composers to the most popular genres of the time.
